Wire BindThe process to wire bind your loose sheets of paper into a good looking book is simple:


1. Punch the sheets of paper, either by hand or electrically

2. Place the punched sheets onto the wire bind fingers

The Wire bind machine shown here is the Renz SRW Comfort. It is a quality system made to electrically punch up to 25 sheets of paper at a time.
There is a "Wire Bind hanger" in the front of the SRW to place your punched sheets onto before crimping the wire closed.
The midsection of this wire bind machine has the crimping area which presses the wire into a fully round shape, while closing the wire tightly.

There are two basic wire bind supplies available;
3:1 pitch:wire bind supplies - 3:1 pitch - has 32 holes per 11" binding edge and will bind from a few sheets of paper using a 3/16" wire bind supply to a maximum thickness of approximately 120 sheets using a 9/16" wire bind supply.

The 2:1 pitchWire binding supplies - 2:1 pitch wire will bind starting at a 1/4" wire bind, and continuing up to a maximum of 1 1/4" thick document.

Our smallest wire bind system is a hand operated punch and binder. It will put square holes - set for 32 holes on the binding edge of an 11" x 8.5" sheet of paper. It will punch about three or four sheets of paper at a time and will bind to a maximum of 9/16" or 120 sheets of paper. this wire binding system weighs about 3 pounds and costs approximately $75.00.

Quality Wire bind machines are much heavier duty and will give you a finished book far easier, faster and better.
