The Pro-Bind 2000's functionality is improved and updated to meet consumers growing needs.
The heating plate is wider to provide a larger and more even heating surface.
The circuit board is restructured with newer technology and programming. The biggest result of the updated circuitry is the quicker warm-up time before the initial binding cycle.
An on/off switch and power indicator light is added to the side of the unit for ease and convenience.
The Pro-Bind 2000 can accommodate up to a 1-1/2" capacity spine and is designed for 11" x 8-1/2" sheet size or smaller.
The 2" throat allows for multiple books to be bound at one time.
A cooling stand is included to provide efficient and production-oriented binding.
Using the ProBind 2000 to bind your documents is easy. Put your loose sheets into the covers which have glue embedded in the spine. The ProBind 2000 melts the glue at the perfect temperature to bind the sheets into the cover, creating either a hardback (the hardback crimper is needed to finish hardback books only) or paperback book.
The Pro-Bind 2000 is a completely new design from the older thermal binding machines you may be familiar with.
First you will notice two buttons on the Pro-Bind 2000; one button for soft covers and the second button for hard covers. The hardcover cycle will automatically adjust the time to a 60 second cycle allowing for full penetration of the heat to fully liquefy the glue in the hardcover books.
When combined with the Pro-Bind Hard Cover Crimper a perfect hardcover bind is assured every time.
Next change we made in the unit is the position of the electronics and the position of the heater. On the old Covermate 700 the heater board was flat and the circuit board was mounted under the sliding front panel. The new design of the Pro-Bind 2000 has allowed us to mount all electronics to the inside of the front of the binding unit thus keeping it from being constantly jarred and away from the heat source. In addition we have angled toward the back the entire front slide and heating plate 15 degrees. This allows youοΏ½re books to remain in a closed position while heating and you end up with a better bind.
The Pro-Bind 2000 has a 2 inch binding capacity, a 30 second soft cover cycle, and a 60 second hardcover cycle.
Both units carry a one year warranty, are all metal construction, and are made here in the United States.

The ProBind Crimper has beveled channels that "pinch" and form the glue at the binding indentations at the left side of the booklet. How quick can you bind 20 books with coil, comb, strip or wire bindings? A 100 page book will take about 3 minutes or so with an average quality system, 20 books will take about an hour. And that's not a bad speed. With a ProBind 1000 (costs about $100.) you can bind those 20 books in 20 minutes. With a ProBind 2000 (costs under $700), those 20 books will take about 7 - 8 minutes, because you can bind multiple books with a thickness totaling 2" of paper at the same time, that's 4 books you can bind in a minute. Any wonder why more and more people are turning to Thermal Binding? Thermal Binding looks great and holds tight. You can customize and finish the book with just about any decoration that you want: foil stamping, offset printing, silk screening, embossing, debossing, and die cutting. Thermal Binding Covers come a few different ways: Utility Covers which are basic clear covers as fronts, and a heavier card stock paper back. You can purchase these utility covers in small increments and they typically are shipped in a day. Custom Thermal Covers are not stocked. They have to be manufactured when you order them. Custom entails the different paper stock that you want, different thickness for the spine, and of course any custom printing or decoration. Clear Front Covers for the Thermal binding systems, with a nice colored linen back sheet. Make an attractive
book just by inserting your sheets into the folder and then into the binding machine. The folders already have
glue in the center, so all you have to do is push a button. The machine heats up and melts the glue - which
adheres to the edge of the sheets of paper. The end result is a very strong bound document; similar to

books are ideal for proposals and documents as well as filing, stacking and mailing. They hold pages securely, without holes, tape or fasteners.
These stock covers come with a clear front and white sturdy paper back.
Sold in boxes of 100 covers. Use page count only as a guide. The number of pages will vary with the thickness of text sheets being bound. The best fit will be obtained by measuring the thickness of the document. |

Using the ProBind 2000 or ProBind 1000 heaters along with the ProBind Hard Cover Crimper, you can quickly make your own hardback bound book, using our Hardback Covers. It just takes about two minutes to produce a classic. You can order the covers with or without a window, (which allows you to show off a title or picture). There are two window sizes to choose from.
