Wire Binding Supplies are made to work with all wire binding machines punching either round or square holes, in either a 3:1 or 2:1 pitch.
Wire Binding Supplies are also known as
Twin Loop, Double-O, or Wire-O.
All use the same binding method: a double strand of wire, shaped like an open circle, that gets inserted into a punched hole and has to be crimped closed and then binds the pages.
An 11" binding edge of paper uses 32 holes to bind with the 3:1 pitch and 21 holes on the 2:1 pitch.

Wire Binding Supplies come in many different colors and sizes and in two wire pitches: 3:1 - which has 32 loops in an 11" sheet of paper and 2:1 which has 21 loops. The 3:1 pitch starts at 3/16" and goes to a maximum binding thickness of 9/16", or about 125 sheets. The 2:1 pitch starts at 1/4" and continues through to bind up to 1 1/4".
Wire binding supplies are sold in boxes of 100 pieces. The wire supplies come packaged in boxes with paper and cardboard to hold and separate the wire binding spines.
Wire Binding is also called Twin Loop Binding, Double O,loop wire or Wire-O. Differences are just manufacturers names for the wire binding machines and wire supplies.
When you bind a book or document with wire, be sure to put the two cover sheets together before the crimping and binding process. This will hide the binding spine in between the last sheet of the booklet and the back cover sheet, showing off your document, and not the crimped binding spine.
