The PC 2000,

by PDI Rhin-O-Tuff, offers a manual punch and electric coil inserting. It features our patented Lexan Guide for easier insertions of all coil, particularly in books over 9/16" thick. The unit will handle coil lengths from 6" to 36, providing you with more flexibility for large jobs and calendars.

We find the PC 2000 to be a great little coil binder for the simple reason that it is easier to bind thick documents. Just about all the coil binders can bind thin (less than 1/2") books. ►The problem with most other coil binding systems is with the thicker books over 1/2". When you punch the holes into paper they go straight down....the coil is round and can not go straight down. Coil wants to curve into a circular path and the punched paper is not letting it do so. The PC 2000 has a table that allows you to lay the book down into two halves - side by side - and then insert the coil between the two halves. So instead of trying very hard to bind a 200 sheet book, ►it is much easier with the PC 2000 to bind two stacks of 100 sheets lying side by side.
