4:1 Pitch is the most popular style of coil binding. What this means is that there are 4 holes per inch of paper, equalling 44 holes on an 11" edge of a sheet. Spiral Coil Binding Supplies are shipped out in 12" long elements, and you have to cut and crimp the edges of the coil to align with the pages - this is easily done with the coil binding pliers. Other pitches are: 5:1 and 6mm, which are also available, but may not be stocked for immediate shipment.
