Coil Binding Machines:
Coil Binding is getting to be the most popular binding method. Coil Bound books fold over for a perfect 360° flip book or presentation. Differences of coil binding machines: Manual Punch and bind machines are made for low volumes of binding. Punches will put 44 holes (on an 11" sheet) by pulling the binding handle down. To insert the coil you have to manually twirl it into the punched holes. This will take a long time, especially if you are producing books over 1/2" thick.
Electric punching and electric coil inserting machines speed up production. When you are considering a coil binding machine look at the amount of sheets punched at a time. Another consideration is the style of hole that the binding machine will punch . Is it round or oval. Oval holes are easier to insert the coil bindings as the plastic coil does not rub against the paper as much as in round holes; therefore it is easier to coil bind thicker books with oval holes.
Coil Binding supplies are 1" longer than the page size. On all the coil binding machines you have to trim the excess coil off and twist it in, this is mostly done with coil binding pliers , however, we do also have an Automatic Coil Cutting and Crimping Machine.

Comb Binding Machines:
Comb Binding has been around for decades. It is a functional, easy to use binding method and the binding machines to apply comb binding are usually well made. Comb binding machines punch 19 rectangular holes with a 9/16th center onto an 11" sheet of paper. There are electric punches and manual paper punches, the key is to find the best punch for your needs. Just about all the comb binding machine openers are well made, they all will open the plastic comb and let you put your paper into the 19 ring slots.

Light Duty Comb Binding Machines : For home use or small office binding needs.

Wire Binding Machines:
Wire Binding Machines create booklets that can lay perfectly flat, as well as make a nice presentation flip book. Wire Binding comes in a term called pitches . The Wire Binding Machine will either punch a 3:1 pitch - which means the machine will punch either a small square or round hole - 3 holes per inch. On an 11" sheet of paper there will be 31 holes. Three holes times eleven inches minus one hole so that the edge of paper does not get punched. The 3:1 pitch encompasses the 3/16" wire binding size through the 9/16" size. The other pitch is 2:1, bigger holes, either round or square, placed a little farther apart. There are 21 holes on an 11" sheet of paper. The 2:1 pitch wire binding comes in just about all the sizes except 3/16". 2:1 wire pitch is more versatile than 3:1 wire.

Thermal Binding Machines
Thermal Binding Machines heat your sheets of paper into glue strip that is adhered to a cover. The end result looks like a paper back book or a phone book.
With your thermal binding machine, you can get covers however you like , your binding machine will bind either paper back covers or hardback books , all in about a minute.
We sell a few types of thermal binding machines: UniBind which has the glue embedded into a metal channel in the spine of the book. Other thermal binding machines that we offer are the ProBind and CoverBind systems. Both of these binding machines will heat up and melt the glue that is already embedded into the covers. Both do excellent custom work to decorate your logo or titles onto the binding covers to make your book stand out.
We also sell the tape binding machines , specifically AccuBind . This binding machine requires virtually no labor. Just place the binding strip into a slit into the binding machine and put your sheets into a holding area on the top of the binder. Press the button and let it bind. In about 40 seconds your book is bound.
Strip Binding Machines Strip Binding machines punch 11 holes into a sheet of paper. you then insert the binding strip - a plastic prong - through the sheets, then the binding machine rivets off the excess plastic prong. This "hot rivet" creates a very strong bind which really is almost impossible to tear apart (though there are razor blade pieces which will shear apart the bind). With the strip binding machine process, you can use any cover sheet you want, and also bind your document with hardback covers. Our strip bind machines include the SecureBind series and the VeloBind models. The binding strips come in increments of either 1" (holding up to 250 sheets of paper, 2" - holding up to 500 sheets and 3" - holding up to 750 sheets.
